Calibration checklist Malaysia
Testing Machine Calibration Checklist for Factories and Labs
A practical checklist for Malaysia QA teams preparing tensile machines, universal testing machines, compression systems and load cells for calibration, service review or customer audit.
Step 1
Confirm the machine identity
Basic details
Record the machine brand, model, serial number, year, maximum capacity and factory location before asking for support.
Load system
Prepare load cell details, capacity range, controller model and any recent replacement history if available.
Software and report
Note the software version, report format, graph output and whether the system exports PDF, Excel or customer-specific reports.
Step 2
Check condition before calibration
Mechanical condition
Check grips, fixtures, crosshead movement, oil leakage, abnormal sound, frame condition and safety guards.
Reading stability
Tell the service team if force readings drift, fail to return to zero, fluctuate or do not match previous results.
Known problems
List broken grips, software issues, sensor faults, power problems, emergency stop issues or failed reports before scheduling.
Step 3
Prepare records for audit readiness
Last calibration record
Keep the previous calibration date, certificate, service report and any repair records ready for review.
Audit deadline
Share the customer audit date or internal due date early. Waiting until audit week creates unnecessary risk.
Scope wording
Do not claim accreditation, standard coverage or measurement scope unless the current documents clearly support it.
